Wind Tunnels or Air Tubes in Quake are tunnels that allow the player to rapidly move from one location to another by the use of wind blowing through the tunnel pushing the player in a set direction. They are only found in E3M5: The Wind Tunnels, except for one leading to the secret exit to E3M7: The Haunted Halls in E3M4: Satan's Dark Delight. Wind Tunnels can be vertical or horizontal. If too high a drop the player can get injured a little. It is possible for the drop to kill the player, if the drop was extremely large or if the player has a low amount of health. Never is there an instance in Quake where the drop takes too much health out of the player.
