Nexus

The Nexus is the heart of the Strogg that you need to destroy in Quake 4. Matthew "Bitterman" Kane trys to destroy it by bringing in an EMP, but the EMP is destroyed by a Harvester.

The Nexus has appeared in only one Quake game - and that is Quake 4. In this game, the player, in the role of SMC Marine Matthew Kane, must destroy the Nexus. This has three attempts - the first one involves the Marines bringing in an EMP, but ended up in disastrous failure as the EMP is destroyed by a Harvester. During the second attempt, Kane ends up being captured for Stroggification. Finally on the third attempt, Matthew Kane, with his partial stroggification, finally destroys the Nexus in the old fashioned way: mixing up enough gunfire on it. Before Kane can destroy the Nexus, he must assasinate the Makron first.
