The eighth unit of Quake II.

With the fearsome Big Gun out of commission, Bitterman now faces the task of disabling the Strogg airforce.

He has two primary objectives. First, close the main hangar doors shut so that no more Strogg ships can take off. Second, destroy the Black Hole Generator that allows the enemy to invade worlds throughout the galaxy. As a bonus, the marine will also have to initiate an airstrike against a Strogg fuel pod before he can enter the Palace City.

On the way to accomplishing these tasks, however, Bitterman will have to stop by the Strogg labs, where gruesome experiments on humans are taking place...

Trivia[]

In the Playstation version of Quake II, this Unit takes the form of Mission 4. It actually fuses the Big Gun unit and the Hangar unit into a single unit, and trims out all the levels, except Research Lab and Launch Command (remixed as Defense Command) as well as Big Gun, which is remixed as Gravity Booster and features a second boss battle against the Guardian, with the Hornet boss battle being moved instead to Defense Command.
