Microforum International was founded in 1984 and is based in Toronto, Canada. Their main focus has been optical and digital media such as Blu-ray and USB Flash Media. In the late eighties they started publishing and distributing games, this caused them to become strong in the North American market. They became a publicly traded company in the mid-nineties. Later, they started gaining presence in Europe, especially in Italy, which resulted in them becoming a strong international company. They started creating mobile games in 2002 and had amassed a portfolio of twenty five pieces of software in just two years. These games and utilities are still being sold.
