Examp 1 by NIN of #QuakeED -undernet is a Single Player level that showcases how to design an Introduction level, similar to Introduction.

As Qtest was released in February of 1996, the timestamp is not accurate, though the correct date is not known. This level was made with the beta version of <wax>, which means it was likely made in July of 1996.

Quick Level Completion

Head through the Door to your left.
Turn left, then head down the hallway.
A Wall will move to reveal a corridor beyond, enter it.
Turn left, then follow the corridor to reach a hub.
Choose your Episode.

Walkthrough

Proceed forward to receive the message "This MAP is for Ref and Exampl ONLY". Turn left, then go through the Door straight ahead. Turn left in the next room, then proceed forward to reach a Wall that will move to reveal a corridor beyond. Follow the arrow made out of a Teleporter texture and turn left, then head down the corridor into the next room. As you enter the room, you will receive the message "Choose your episode."

The leftmost exit Teleporter leads to Episode 1: Dimension of the Doomed, the exit Teleporter. to the right of that leads to Episode 2: The Realm of Black Magic. The exit Teleporter to your near right leads to Episode 3: The Netherworld, while the exit Teleporter to the far right leads to Episode 4: The Elder World.
