Richard Felkerfile is a level designer, he was more commonly referred to by his username Dalias. Being one of the earliest designers for Quake, he inspired several people to create their own maps.

Most notably, Dalias created Tele-X Quake!, possibly the earliest custom level made for shareware that was not by an id Software employee. He was also responsible for the first custom Level Theme, Daltex, which he released in an updated version of Tele-X Quake!.

He also was the creator of the level editor Quake Studio.

Dalias was also the author of the First Quake Level from Scratch, a level made for Qtest that was the first custom level that featured new geometry.

Demos

Dalias also recorded some early demos for Quake. The primary series he did was a playthrough of the Shareware episode with just the Axe; this was started on June 28, 1996 and completed on June 30, 1996. Note that this means that the Demo files were recorded a week after the earliest shareware release of Quake.

This particular release of Quake had issues recording Demos of E1M4: the Grisly Grotto, so it was not included. Dalias also did not include E1M8: Ziggurat Vertigo. These were not intended to be 100% completions, more just acquiring what is useful to completing the level and moving on.

Since Dalias had a lot of trouble getting Quake to properly record, he ended up just showing what he had. He stated that he had done better and on higher Difficulties, but that losing the recordings demotivated him from trying again since it would require too much work.
